User Experience Designer

  • Designed and iterated on a touch-screen registration kiosk UI
  • Attended tradeshows to observe the usability of the UI
  • Designed and developed front-end of registration websites for large tradeshows

As a first brush with UX, I began to tailor my graphic design training and previous experience working in design and marketing agencies towards learning more about the users that interacted with the interfaces I created.

At Maritz Events (formerly Experient) my core focus was designing the registration sites and interactive kiosks at different trade events. I noticed the struggle users would have on touch screens, fumbling with small text inputs in order to register for the event. My success was fine-tuning the interface for touch interaction, and evolving the kiosks through each event.
